The helping hands and generosity of our donors enable us to continue to serve the youth and veterans faced with homelessness and make a difference in their lives.
Volunteer
Shelley's House invites individuals to empower homeless and underserved youth by volunteering in educational workshops, organizing fun experiences, assisting with housing and clinical services or mentoring one-on-one, providing support, guidance, and motivation towards their goals.
Sponsor
To sponsor a youth to participate in the "Building the Foundation for Success" program, simply contact Shelley's House and we will work with you to identify a young person in need and provide you more information on how your support can make a difference.
General Program Needs
Hygiene items - hand sanitizer, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap/body wash, Washcloth/towel, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, sunscreen, deodorant, wipes, feminine hygiene products, Chapstick
Technology - access to WIFI, computers and tablets.
Financial Literacy Books/Games - Books (Rich Dad Poor Dad, A Total Money Makeover, The Intelligent Investor), Games (UNO, Phase 10, Cover your assets, Monopoly, Life, chess, checkers), etc.
Annual camping/hiking trip - tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pad, lantern, hiking shoes, first aid kit, fishing rods, hiking
Back to school supplies - pencils, pens, spiral notebooks, paper, folders/binders, calculators, dry erase markers, and backpacks.
Winter coat drive - warm coats/hoodies, hats, scarves and gloves
